Syracuse walk-on guard with leader-level polish and a story that matters
Chris LaValle is a 5-11 graduate-student guard for Syracuse who has been a program loyalist, a walk-on, and a steady culture piece rather than a stat-stuffer; in Syracuse’s official bio, he’s listed as a Syracuse, N.Y. native, a West Genesee product, and a three-time academic honoree, with prior game action including an ACC Tournament basket against Florida State. His value is more about toughness, maturity, and fit: he brings local pride, reliable effort, and low-drama guard depth, making him the kind of player coaches like when they want energy, accountability, and someone who understands the assignment.
