Jay Kennedy brings sneaky-clean relief work and left-handed leverage to USI
In the 2026 season, Southern Indiana left-hander Jay Kennedy has been a low-ERA bullpen arm, posting a 0.00 ERA in 1.2 innings across three appearances while striking out two. He followed a 2025 season in which he appeared in 21 games, worked 13.0 innings, and logged a team-second-best 4.85 ERA, showing he can handle regular relief duty. At 6-foot-5, 220 pounds, he brings a big frame, a left-handed look, and enough mound presence to fit a staff needing matchup value and quiet consistency.
