Sam Fongang brings size and experience to Louisiana Tech’s secondary
Fongang is a 6'2" defensive back for Louisiana Tech who played in 12 games with one start in 2025, including a start in the Independence Bowl, and finished with 22 tackles, 13 solo tackles, 0 sacks, and 0 interceptions. His value is less about flashy ball production and more about reliability, length, and fit in the box or deep coverage roles as a strong safety. For a team, he profiles as a dependable rotational DB with upside if his playmaking and consistency continue to climb.
