Colton McDonald brings length, run support, and starting-caliber production to North Texas
Colton McDonald is a 6-4 linebacker whose value comes from size, range, and early-down physicality rather than splashy turnover numbers, and in 2024 he posted 39 tackles for North Texas, including 23 solo stops, after earning a start in his Mean Green debut.[2][7] His profile suggests a dependable fit for a defense that wants a long, active LB who can get to the ball and hold up against the run, though the available data does not show sacks or takeaways yet.[2][7]
