Walk-On-to-Scholarship Linebacker Bringing Steady Defensive Juice
In Cincinnati’s 2010 football notes, Obadiah Cheatham was described as a long-time walk-on linebacker who earned a scholarship after showing impact on defense, and the roster records him as a special-teams contributor with three tackles in six games in 2009. His calling card is toughness, persistence, and enough dependable play to earn trust from a program that rewards edge and effort. If you value a hard-nosed, team-first linebacker who can add depth and raise the practice/locker-room standard, he fits the profile.
