High-leverage Lobo righty who attacks the zone and thrives in pressure spots
In the 2025 season, Barnhouse was New Mexico’s workhorse reliever, making a team-high 28 appearances and posting a 4-1 record, 6.07 ERA, 30 strikeouts, and just 15 walks across 43 innings[1]. His calling card is poise: the Lobos trusted him in tight moments, and he’s openly said he enjoys high-pressure situations and executing the coaching plan[11]. At 6-6, he brings a big frame, a clean arm action, and a high-slot look that can be tough to pick up[12]. He looks like a fit for teams needing a composed bullpen arm who can handle leverage, though the ERA says there’s still some polish left[1].
