a physical Butler DB with starter-level tackle production
Trey Mason looks like a reliable, high-motor defensive back for Butler, with the kind of all-around tackling profile that shows up in the run game and in space. Butler’s roster lists him as a DB, and ESPN tracks him as part of the Bulldogs’ secondary, but the public stat trail is limited, so the best read is that he fits as a steady, assignment-sound piece rather than a pure ballhawk. If your team wants toughness, consistency, and a player who should compete hard snap-to-snap, Mason is worth a closer look.
