Morgan State LB Fred Davis: a rugged, experienced defender with proven tackling juice
Fred Davis is a battle-tested Morgan State linebacker whose calling card is toughness, run support, and dependable tackling—he’s the kind of defender who shows up with edge and rarely makes life easy for offenses. In the 2009 season, he logged 24 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks, hinting at a backfield-disrupting style that fits an aggressive front[2]. He also drew a coach-friendly label as an “experienced and rugged linebacker,” which is exactly the sort of demeanor teams love in the middle of the defense[9].
