Sam Houston’s Demartie Allen: versatile DB with a nose for tackles
Demartie Allen brings value as a physical, assignment-sound defensive back who has shown real production at Sam Houston, including 63 tackles in the 2013 season after starting 13 games at cornerback, following earlier seasons in which he contributed at safety and on special teams[11]. That kind of position flexibility matters: he’s not just a one-role defender, he’s the guy coaches trust to plug gaps, cover space, and make the routine play look easy. If you want a DB who plays with toughness and experience rather than flash, Allen fits the bill.
