6-8 Forward Derrick Dandridge brought physicality and late-game pop to FAMU
In the 2016-17 season, Derrick Dandridge gave Florida A&M a rugged 6-8, 230-pound frontcourt presence, averaging 7.3 points and 4.6 rebounds across 30 games while starting 21 times. He wasn’t a volume scorer, but he did a lot of the dirty work: rebounding, interior toughness, and timely finishes, including a game-winning layup with 0.4 seconds left against Coppin State. The fit question is simple—if your team needs a hard-nosed forward who plays with edge and embraces physical basketball, he’s your guy; if you need stretch shooting, the numbers say that wasn’t his lane.
