Dontrell Nelson brings veteran Memphis-to-pro defensive back experience
Dontrell Nelson is a former Memphis defensive back with real game experience, appearing in 42 college games and making 12 starts while finishing his Tigers career with 79 total tackles, which signals a reliable, physical presence in the secondary.[2] He is best viewed as a player whose value comes from experience, toughness, and versatility rather than flashy box-score production, and Memphis listed him as a safety/DB recruit before he developed into a multi-year contributor.[2][5] If your team wants a seasoned defensive back who has already handled meaningful snaps, Nelson is the kind of fit that can stabilize a room and compete for depth immediately.[2][1]
