Rising Sacramento State CB with Elite HS Pedigree and Transfer Portal Buzz
Jeffery Johnson, a top-rated cornerback from Oak Hills HS, committed to Sacramento State in May 2025 after an official visit, bringing four-star upside (No. 8 prospect in prior class per ESPN) and shutdown potential to the Hornets' secondary[7]. His differentiator? Explosive athleticism, ball skills, and Mississippi All-State grit from a high school resume boasting 67 tackles, 7 sacks as a senior—traits that scream NFL developmental prospect despite limited college tape so far. No known injuries; his intensity and portal journey signal a hungry, coachable fit for teams needing versatile DBs with pro instincts[2][7]. Why care? He's a sleeper ready to dominate FCS in 2025-26.
