Cade Rusch is Bellarmine’s late-inning shutdown weapon in 2026
In the 2026 season, senior right-hander Cade Rusch has been a valuable multi-inning arm for Bellarmine, posting a 2.16 ERA with 38 strikeouts and 15 walks over 33.1 innings, plus three saves and a 3-2 record. He’s shown the kind of “give us outs now” mentality coaches love: trusted in pressure spots, efficient in relief, and reliable enough to finish games, including key scoreless outings against Southern Indiana, Dayton, and Eastern Kentucky. At 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds, the R/R pitcher brings size, strikeout ability, and calm late-game poise—useful if your staff needs a steady bullpen anchor, not just raw velocity.
