A steadier-than-the-box-score guard for UNC Asheville
Julie Stephenson is a former UNC Asheville guard whose on-court value showed up in more than scoring: in the 2000-01 season she posted a career-high 16 points and 8 assists in one game, signaling real playmaking juice and a pass-first, team-oriented style. The available record is older, but it points to a guard who could organize offense, handle pressure, and create for teammates rather than just hunt her own shot. If you want a connector guard with vision and poise, that’s the lane Stephenson fits.
