John Paul Buckner
RHP 6'0" 190 lbs R/R JR Texas A&M-Corpus Christi
Right-Handed Starter With Strikeout Arm, But Run Prevention Still a Work in Progress
Buckner is a useful RHP to watch because he already shows bat-missing ability, posting 19 strikeouts in 19.0 innings for Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in 2026, but the command and consistency are still developing, with 13 walks and a 9.00 ERA in that same span. His profile suggests a pitcher with enough stuff to get outs in bursts, yet one who will need sharper strike-throwing to become a reliable weekend arm. If your staff values upside and development over immediate polish, he’s at least intriguing.
