Charlie Buckles brings jumbo-frame upside and left-handed pop to Florida State
Charlie Buckles is a 6-foot-6, 230-pound freshman first baseman/outfielder for Florida State in the 2026 season, and the early buzz centers on his big-body power and left-on-left fit. Prep Baseball Report listed him as Maryland’s No. 1 first baseman in the high-school class of 2025 and No. 11 nationally, which tells you the upside is real. His profile stands out for a fluid, uphill barrel path and loud raw power, though the key question is how quickly that bat translates against ACC arms. If you want size, projection, and offensive ceiling, he’s an interesting one.
