Ryan Schummer brings left-handed pop and lineup flexibility for Youngstown State
In the 2026 season, Ryan Schummer gave Youngstown State a useful bat with real punch: he hit .236 with 8 home runs, 25 RBIs, and an .804 OPS in 38 games, while splitting time between catcher, first base, and designated hitter. His value goes beyond the box score—he’s a lefty hitter with power, draws walks, and gives a staff defensive versatility, which is gold for a roster looking for tough, dependable role players. If your team wants a grinder with physical strength and lineup juice, he’s worth a close look.
