Emily Taylor brings on-base value and speed to San Diego’s outfield
Taylor profiles as a compact, high-energy outfielder whose value is more about disruption than power: in 2025 at San Diego, she appeared in 12 games, made one start, and scored five runs while recording her first collegiate hit, walk, run, and stolen base in her first start; her high school résumé also shows elite table-setting ability, with a .454 batting average, 42 walks, and 27 stolen bases. She looks like a fit for teams that want contact, speed, and pressure on defenses, but she is still early in her college career and has not yet produced big counting stats.
