Grayson Knight brings strikeout stuff and swing-and-miss pitch mix to Jacksonville State’s rotation
Knight is a right-handed starter for Jacksonville State who logged 62.2 innings with 60 strikeouts in 2024, finishing third on the team in ERA, innings, strikeouts and appearances started, which points to real durability and rotation value. He lists a four-pitch mix—fastball, curveball, slider and changeup—and his profile suggests a pitcher who can miss bats rather than just pitch to contact. The main fit question is command and consistency at the next level, but his workload and arsenal make him a credible plug-in for a team needing a competitive midweek or weekend arm.
