young Marshall DL with raw upside and room to grow
Mason White is a redshirt freshman defensive lineman for Marshall in the 2026 season, listed at 6-1 and 223 pounds, with the kind of frame that suggests developmental upside more than finished-product polish. He’s still early in his college career, but the appeal here is the classic blue-collar DL profile: homegrown Ohio kid, compact build, and a chance to earn snaps through effort, leverage, and coachability. If you want an immediate-impact, stat-stuffed defender, he’s not that yet; if you want a young piece with moldable traits and long-term rotation potential, White is the kind of bet you make.
