J.J. Givens brings ball-hawking upside and playmaking pedigree to Norfolk State’s secondary
J.J. Givens stands out as a **playmaker** in Norfolk State’s defensive backfield, with a history of producing impact turnovers and pass breakups; Norfolk State lists him with **34 tackles, 7 interceptions, and 13 pass breakups**, plus Conference 16 Player of the Year honors[3]. Those are the traits that matter for a team looking for a DB who can change a game, not just finish one—his value is in the instinctive coverage, timing, and confidence to attack the ball in space[3].
