Emma Mazzarone has emerged as Virginia Tech’s two-way engine in the circle and at the plate
In the 2026 season, Emma Mazzarone was a true ACC difference-maker for Virginia Tech: 16-6 with a 3.13 ERA, 172 strikeouts, a .189 opponent batting average, and 9 complete games, while also hitting .313 with 12 RBIs.[15] She earned back-to-back ACC Pitcher of the Week honors in March 2026 and later delivered a career-high 14-strikeout gem against Virginia, signaling the kind of competitive edge coaches love in a big-game arm.[7][14] Her value goes beyond the stat line—she’s a left-handed two-way threat with swing-and-miss stuff and enough offensive pop to punish teams that think they can pitch around her.[12][13]
