LSU's Shutdown CB and BCS Champion Who Dominated SEC Skies
Randall Gay, LSU Tigers cornerback from the early 2000s under Nick Saban, was a tenacious playmaker with 25 tackles, 1 sack, and 2 interceptions in the 2003 regular season, capping it with 5 tackles in the SEC title game en route to a BCS national championship. His elite ball skills, physical intensity, and lockdown coverage made him a differentiator against top receivers, transitioning seamlessly to 2× NFL Super Bowl wins with the Patriots and Saints. A proven winner with championship pedigree—perfect fit for teams seeking gritty, high-IQ defensive backs.
