Mike Destin brings DB versatility and game-speed value to LIU
Mike Destin profiles as a defensive back whose appeal is built on versatility, trigger speed, and match-ready intensity rather than flashy box-score volume. LIU would value a DB who can handle submaximal-to-game-speed demands, fit into collision-heavy football, and contribute in roles that reward disciplined preparation and reliable athletic output. I could not verify stable public stat leaders or rankings for Destin in the provided results, so the clearest takeaway is fit: he looks like the kind of defender coaches trust for coverage, contact, and doing the hard work that raises the floor of a secondary.
