Southern Miss OL Carter Sims: experienced depth piece with size and versatility
Carter Sims is a redshirt junior offensive lineman at Southern Miss whose profile is more about steady depth and roster value than headline-grabbing stats; in the 2026 team bio, he is listed at 6-foot-4, 247 pounds, and as a redshirt junior from Oneonta, Alabama. He has game experience, with Southern Miss noting his debut came in the season-opener against Jackson State, but there are no player statistics published for him, which suggests his value is in development, adaptability, and trench toughness rather than box-score production. If a staff wants a grinder with experience and upside, he’s the kind of lineman worth keeping on the board.
