Bucknell’s experienced, do-it-all safety
Bret Berg brings proven Patriot League production and versatility to Bucknell’s back end: in his Bucknell career, he logged 133 tackles, 16 pass breakups, 5 interceptions, 4.5 tackles for loss, and even handled punts for a stretch, earning First Team All-Patriot League honors and team MVP recognition in 2016. The big differentiator is his football IQ and all-around reliability—he’s the kind of safety who impacts coverage, run support, and field position. If you want a tough, high-effort defender with a track record of making plays, Berg fits the mold.
