Lehigh's Scoring Sparkplug from the Mid-2000s Era
Jose Olivero, a 6-2 junior guard for the Lehigh Mountain Hawks, erupted as a sophomore in the 2005-2006 season, starting all 29 games and averaging 13.0 PPG while leading the team in scoring in 12 contests with 5 games of 20+ points—his career stats show 14.6 PPG, 2.9 RPG, and 2.1 APG on 38.5% FG. A math major from Fairfax, VA, with dual USA-Dominican roots, Olivero's differentiator was his consistent scoring punch and leadership in a rising program, making him a gritty, high-energy fit for teams needing a reliable perimeter threat—though now long graduated, his Patriot League tenacity still inspires.
