SMU LB Jordon Williams: Reliable, active run defender with proven tackling production
Jordon Williams projects as a dependable linebacker because he has already shown real on-field production for SMU, including 49 solo tackles, 0.5 sacks, and a forced fumble in ESPN’s listed stats, while SMU’s roster bio shows he was a steady contributor in 2018 with 31 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and disruptive pass-breakup/QB-hurry production. He stands out more for consistency, effort, and functional coverage activity than flashy splash plays, which makes him a fit for a team that values sound, assignment-oriented defense.
