Tre King brings veteran wiggle and Big 12-tested toughness to Texas Tech
In the 2026 season, Tre King is a senior RB at Texas Tech listed at 5-11, 190, giving the Red Raiders an experienced, compact runner with proven production and some burst through contact.[1] His best calling card is reliability: in his strongest Texas Tech season, he posted 623 rushing yards, 5 touchdowns, and 4.8 yards per carry in 13 games, then played through a nagging injury the following year, which hints at grit but also some durability concern.[8] He looks like a fit for a team that values a decisive, veteran back who can handle work between the tackles and chip in as a receiver, not just flash big numbers.[8]
