Shane Melbo brings veteran linebacker toughness to Portland State
In the 2011 season, Shane Melbo was recognized as Portland State’s Most Improved Player and was described by the staff as a key defender with starts at both middle and weakside linebacker, which points to real versatility and football IQ. He profiles as the kind of physical, assignment-sound LB who can help stabilize a defense with experience and dependable effort. If your team values a smart, adaptable linebacker with proven growth and a blue-collar edge, Melbo is absolutely worth a look.
