Corey Thompson Jr. Brings Track-Speed Upside and Big-Play Juice to Louisville’s WR Room
Corey Thompson Jr. is a compact, explosive wideout with legitimate after-the-catch burst, highlighted by his 2024 season at Utah State when he posted 4 catches for 60 yards; earlier in his career he also showed rare versatility and playmaking instincts across multiple spots, which is a nice sign for gadget and return-value fit. The best part? His athletic profile is the selling point — EA Sports College Football 26 lists him at 92 speed, 93 acceleration and a 75 overall, so Louisville gets a developmental receiver who can stress defenses vertically, create matchup headaches, and bring hidden-yardage value if used creatively.
