Duane Tuitasi brings veteran size, steady glue-guy value to SJSU’s defensive line
Duane Tuitasi is the kind of interior defender coaches love to have around: a long-time Spartans lineman, 6-foot-1 and roughly 299-308 pounds, who has been trusted in rotational duty and even flashed with a tipped-ball interception in a 2019 scrimmage. His value is less about gaudy box-score production and more about experience, toughness, and academic-driven discipline—he was recognized as an Academic All-Mountain West and Dean’s Scholar. If your team wants a dependable, physical DT who understands the program and can anchor depth, he fits.
