Washington State DB Hayden Schmidt: developmental depth with special-teams upside
Hayden Schmidt is a Washington State defensive back who profiles as a depth-and-development piece rather than a headline stat producer, with experience in the Cougars’ program and a safety build that suggests physicality and versatility. His value is likely tied to reliability, practice competitiveness, and fit in a structured defensive backfield, but available public stats do not show notable game production for Washington State, so he reads more as a roster-fit candidate than an immediate impact starter. If you need a low-drama, schemeable DB with room to grow, he is worth a closer look.
