Veteran Jacksonville Guard with Defensive DNA
Cartree Pettis brings a defense-first, experience-heavy profile to Jacksonville, with a track record as a disruptive guard who once ranked No. 4 in NAIA Division II in steals per game and earned Appalachian Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2013-14. In his Jacksonville season, he was a steady connector rather than a high-usage scorer, averaging 1.1 assists and 0.3 steals per game while leading the team in three-point percentage, a useful fit if a team wants toughness, ball pressure, and low-drama guard minutes.
