Kara Braxton brought Georgia elite frontcourt production — and a whole lot of edge
In her Georgia career, Kara Braxton was a 6-foot-6 force at F/C who averaged 15.4 points and 7.3 rebounds, and in the 2001-02 season she led the Lady Bulldogs in scoring (16.3), rebounding (6.8), blocks (2.0) and steals (1.8). Her best selling point was two-way impact: she could score, protect the rim, and finish through contact, which made her a matchup problem. The caution flag was consistency and off-court volatility, as Georgia suspended her multiple times before dismissing her in 2004. If you want talent with star upside, she’s a yes; if you need low-maintenance reliability, that’s the question mark.
