6-foot-5 Utah Tech RHP Ethan Gardner brings power-arm upside and proven bullpen strikeout juice
In the 2024 season at College of Southern Idaho, Ethan Gardner logged 11.1 innings, struck out 17, and fanned multiple hitters in five of 11 outings—exactly the kind of late-inning swing-and-miss profile that plays. Utah Tech lists the 2026 senior at 6-foot-5, 180 pounds, and his background note suggests a polished, academically driven competitor who chose the Trailblazers to chase his baseball ceiling. He fits best as a projectable righty with real bullpen leverage potential if the stuff keeps trending up.
