Dayton Flyers DB with Solid Fundamentals, Limited Spotlight Stats
Jake Van Asten, a dependable cornerback for the Dayton Flyers, brings reliable tackling and coverage skills to the secondary, though his career stats on ESPN show modest production without standout numbers in interceptions or passes defended.[1][3] His differentiator is positional versatility and football IQ from a gritty FCS program, making him a low-risk, high-motor fit for teams needing depth DBs who play with intensity minus injury red flags. Care about him if you're building a developmental roster—he's the understated glue guy thriving in Dayton's scheme.
