Victor Frederick is St. John’s high-leverage RHP with swing-and-miss upside
In the 2026 season, Victor Frederick has been a key arm for St. John’s, handling both high-leverage relief and spot-start duty while already stacking multiple saves and a regional-clinching role in the bullpen. The 6-foot-5 sophomore from Northport, N.Y., pairs size, strike-throwing flashes, and toughness—he struck out five in 3.1 innings against Butler and saved the BIG EAST opener with a scoreless ninth. His 2025 season showed real bat-missing ability too, with 43 strikeouts in 52 innings. If you want a pitcher who can grow into a Friday-night profile, he’s absolutely worth the eyes.
