MAAC's Block King with Double-Double Grit (2009-10)
At 6'8", Canisius Golden Griffins forward Tomas Vazquez-Simmons enters his senior year with 211 career blocks, ranking 6th in MAAC history, while posting a career-best 6.8 PPG and 6.7 RPG in 2009-10, including 4 double-doubles and a high of 18 points. A reliable starter who played all 32 games, his rim-protecting prowess and rebounding tenacity make him a defensive anchor—perfect for teams needing blue-collar intensity and proven MAAC experience without the diva drama.
