Jaydon Brunson brings veteran DB savvy and communicator energy to Grambling
In the 2023 season, Jaydon Brunson logged 9 tackles for Grambling State, and his profile suggests a smart, versatile defensive back who can handle safety/nickel duties and help organize the back end[1][2]. His calling card is communication: Brunson has said he embraced a leadership role while learning a new defense, helping steady a unit that finished among the SWAC’s better passing defenses[2]. At 5-foot-9, 192 pounds, he profiles more as a tough, instinctive fit than a pure size-speed guy—useful if your staff values reliability, alignment, and field-general vibes over flash[2][4].
