Maryland TE with Elite Size and Untapped Potential
At 6-5, 245 pounds, AJ Szymanski brings massive frame and high school pedigree—70 tackles, 9 sacks as a defensive standout in 2021 at Loyola Blakefield—to Maryland's TE room, positioning him as a prototypical blocker with receiving upside in Mike Locksley's offense. Emerging leader with special teams versatility, he's a depth piece (0 TDs in 2023 over 7 games) poised for breakout in 2025's 12-game slate amid thin competition. Care because his raw athleticism screams NFL seam-stretcher; perfect fit for teams needing a developmental big who hits like a DE and catches like a mismatch nightmare.[1][4][5][6]
