Freshman right-hander Carter Harrington has already become Charleston’s steadier arm
In the 2026 season, Carter Harrington has flashed legitimate mid-rotation upside for Charleston, earning Perfect Game Midseason Freshman All-America Second Team honors after posting a 2.76 ERA through 29.1 innings and showing strikeout stuff with 25 punchouts. He’s also shown toughness and workload stamina, twice giving Charleston seven innings in a start, including a win over UNCW, while CAA coaches named him Rookie of the Week after a scoreless five-inning gem. The draw: strikes, poise, and starter durability. The caution: some freshman volatility, so he looks like a strong development bet, not a finished product.
