Valentina Monzo brings size and a proven shooting touch to UAB’s frontcourt
Monzo is a 6-foot-2 forward whose game has been defined by efficient scoring touch and floor-spacing, including a 47.1% mark from 3-point range in her 2020-21 season at McCook CC and strong free-throw shooting in multiple junior-college seasons before joining UAB.[1] At UAB in 2023-24, she saw limited minutes, appearing in 19 games and hitting 66.7% of her free throws, so she profiles more as a depth piece and situational stretch forward than a high-usage primary option right now.[1][4]
