Memphis QB Eric Mathews brings dual-threat upside and a proven playmaking pedigree
Eric Mathews is listed by Memphis as a quarterback with dual-threat ability, and recruiting services identify him as a 6-foot-1, 185-pound QB from Brookshire, Texas. Memphis media/roster data also shows he has already seen game action, with ESPN listing 24 passing yards, 1 touchdown, and 0 interceptions in career stats, but the bigger draw is his athletic profile: a run/pass threat who can create offense when plays break down, which makes him an intriguing fit for an offense that values versatility and tempo.
