Michael Shaw brings veteran linebacker instincts to Western Carolina
Michael Shaw is a seasoned Western Carolina linebacker whose value leans more on dependable production and defensive feel than flash; ESPN’s 2026 profile lists him with recent defensive contribution, including a sack and a pass breakup in the statistical record, while the Catamounts’ roster confirms his LB role and long program presence. His appeal is the steady, assignment-sound kind of play coaches trust: physical, disciplined, and experienced in reading action quickly. If a team wants a vocal, reliable linebacker who can fit the run and make routine plays without drama, Shaw looks like a sensible fit.
