Western Illinois FB with TD Versatility and Special Teams Intensity
Rick Richardson, a fullback for the Western Illinois Leathernecks, stands out for his rare dual-threat capability: he scored his first collegiate TD on a reception against NDSU while also rushing three times and catching five passes for 54 yards in his debut season. Beyond stats, Richardson’s differentiator is his relentless intensity on special teams, where he forced a fumble and made three tackles—showing a defensive mindset that fullbacks rarely bring. His personality is described as gritty and team-first, with no reported injury history, making him a high-fit, low-risk addition for any team needing a versatile, hard-nosed FB who elevates play in both offense and special teams.
