Ameer Riley brings ball-hawking production and back-end playmaking to Colgate
Ameer Riley profiles as a turnover-creator at safety, highlighted by a season with 4 interceptions, 74 interception return yards, and 47 tackles, which tied for the Patriot League lead in picks and made him one of Colgate’s top defensive finishers. He stands out for instincts, range, and the ability to flip field position, giving a team a reliable playmaker on the back end rather than just a cleanup tackler. If you want a safety who can read quarterbacks, punish mistakes, and add real splash-play value, Riley is the kind of defender worth caring about.
