dependable, physical Colorado RB with proven big-game burst
Fontenot is a compact, north-south runner who showed he can flip a game early in his Colorado career, highlighted by a 125-yard, 3-touchdown breakout against Colorado State in his first career start. He has been productive and durable enough to carve out a meaningful role at Colorado, with 35 career games and 14 starts, and his profile suggests a runner who brings toughness, balance, and finishing power rather than flashy home-run speed. For a team looking for a reliable back who can handle contact, stay steady in the offense, and deliver when given volume, he’s the kind of fit coaches appreciate.
