steady floor general with real assist juice
Emmanuel Matey is a 5-10 guard from Greenbelt, Maryland who played for Morgan State in the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons, then later moved into coaching. In the 2014-15 season, he averaged 2.5 assists in 13.7 minutes per game and even handed out 11 assists in the season opener against Coppin State, which screams passer-first instincts and court vision. His profile points to a compact, playmaking guard who can organize an offense and bring toughness, even if scoring was never the headline attraction. If you want a connector, not a ball-hog, he’s your guy.
