Michael Puckett brings scorer’s punch and veteran guard energy to WSSU
Michael Puckett is a guard for Winston-Salem State who flashed real bucket-getting ability, including a career-high 19 points in a 2007 win over Alabama A&M and multiple double-figure scoring games in that season. He looks like the kind of player who can change a game with shot-making and pace, but the available record also shows a career arc interrupted by academic ineligibility in 2008, so reliability and eligibility matter as much as his offense. If a team wants instant scoring pop and competitive edge, he’s intriguing; if it wants a polished, durable lead guard, the fit needs closer inspection.
